The Masseria
The quintessence of southern Italian hospitality
What is a masseria?
The word “masseria” is a bit difficult to translate into English. Essentially, a masseria is a fortified farmhouse on an estate built around the 16th century. Nowadays, many masserie have been renovated and converted into farmhouses, b&b, and boutique hotels.

Spending a week in a masseria in Salento means escaping the chaotic life and routine, being closer to nature, and tasting fresh, locally produced food and wine.
